Here is the new single/new video from The Veronicas called "Hook Me Up." The song has an electro-pop feel to it and I admit that it's growing on me. As for the video, I've said this before but I'll say it again, i find the sisters a little too "in love" with each other (i.e. in the "4ever" music video they seem to act a little "too close"). I mean, i know they're twin sisters, and are very very close, but every time I see them on screen I feel as though they're giving off a "lez" vibe. Yeah, i know it sounds a bit incestuous, but hey, i guess relationships between twins differ from other different-age siblings.
SO why bring this up? Maybe it's just i find myself not used to seeing "really really close siblings," especially twins siblings. So don't get me wrong - i like The Veronicas! I find their music and personality to be quite appealing. And if for some chance their sophomore album releases this year, i am SO Getting It! I just felt like sharing a random thought.
Well, here's their song and music video; ENJOY!

got music?
So I've managed to listen to some albums, and here is what I recommend.
Aly & AJ - Insomniatic

Dean Geyer - Rush

Kelly Clarkson - My December

Lily Allen - Alright, Still

Rihanna - Good Girl Gone Bad

Why these five albums you may ask? Well, these albums have been on heavy rotation on my computer/boom-box/mp3player for quite some time.
Also, here is what I think of them:
"Insomniatic" (Aly&AJ) - I've always been a fan of their music. "Into the Rush" was a good cd, and when they re-released it with "Chemicals React," I was hooked. This third cd (their second was "Acoustic Hearts of Winter") sounds a bit more different from their first, in a sense that they dabbled on different styles of production - but all in all - great. (Great producers I think.) Whatever it is that makes me like them, I love them even more.
"Rush" (Dean Geyer) - I admit, I never knew who this guy was. I found him accidentally through an Amazon search. When I listened to some of his music, I automatically thought that this cd was really good. I played every track without skipping.
"My December" (Kelly Clarkson) - No need to explain, It's KELLY CLARKSON. Despite all the shit she has gone through, she still manages to put herself on the top. I loved seeing her on CMT's Crossroads with Reba McEntire, she did a great job. I think this cd is great. I especially love "sober." You GO KELLY!!
"Alright, Still" (Lily Allen) - I like the fact that this girl got guts. She's very blunt and doesn't give a shit what you think of her. Piss her off and and she'll write a song about you (i.e. "not big"). She's also funny, and reminds me of Avril Lavigne (when she was in her rebellious phase). Who knew that a girl who looks a bit dainty is really very cool and kicks ass! My fav track is "ldn."
"Good Girl Gone Bad" (Rihanna) - I pressed play, and I loved every track. Another great album by Rihanna, and one of her Best. Despite "umbrella" being over played, I can't help but sing along with the chorus. lol.

Well, since I'm on my summer I'll be able to update more (hopefully).
See you around til' next post.
